Each unit contains four to eight sections which take between two and five days to complete. Within each section, the focus is on developing understanding of mathematical concepts. Each section ends with a Summary and problems to facilitate students' integration and consolidation of the concepts and skills they have been studying.

  The main concepts of the unit are reinforced within the Try This! activities, which are incorporated into each section of a unit. They may be used as in-class activities, homework assignments, informal assessment tools, or extra-credit.
