Each MMAP Application unit contains a letter for parents to be sent home at the beginning of the unit, explaining the nature of the project and the mathematics learning that students will accomplish. Community members have gotten involved in MMAP classrooms by presenting the way they use math at work and by sitting on panels to review students' final products.
