Use of Technology - MATH Thematics

Calculators and computers are tools that help make sense of mathematical concepts by allowing students to display results, to find patterns, and to ask and answer "What if ...?" questions. To achieve mathematical power, students must learn to select appropriate tools and techniques and to use them effectively.

Technology is used throughout the Math Thematics curriculum to develop and reinforce mathematical ideas and concepts, solve problems, and bridge the gap between the classroom and real-world activities. The materials are designed, however, so that they so not depend on the use of technology.
