Unit Structure - MATH Thematics |
The mathematics content for each grade level is presented in
one book containing eight thematic modules that connect the mathematical ideas
to real-world applications. Each module has four to six sections. A section
contains one to three explorations and requires one to three days to complete.
There are one to three explorations per section. Each exploration takes one
day to complete. Each section contains key concepts. These key concepts give
the main ideas and the new terms for the section. Practice and application
exercises are the homework assigned at the end of each exploration. The practice
and application exercises, spiral review, and extension reinforce and extend
learning. The extra skill practice provides additional exercises for students
who need more practice.
